Day 28: I thought I'd have all the time in the world...

At a railroad track in Otavalo, Ecuador, where we spent 3 hours photographing sunset. Picture credit to Bijan!

Wow, it’s already Day 28 of my trip today - a full four weeks!

Before I embarked on this trip, I thought that I would have all the time in the world to meditate, process my photos, write in-depth blog posts about my adventures, read my books, and learn new things or two from online courses. I could not be more wrong.

Starting from my trip in the Galapagos, my days have been so packed with activities, from sunrise to way after sunset. Hikes, dives, walking tours, crafts markets, late-night street food binges, drinks on the benches by the beach, meeting new fabulous friends and travel buddies, hunts for the best pictures (of course)… the list goes on.

I’m way behind in writing my travels from the Galapagos, Otavalo, Quito, Lima, and Huaraz. There have been so many mind-blowing experiences and breathtaking (figuratively and literally) views, I’m really not sure how my writing can do justice to the wonderful life on the road. But I promise I will - eventually! For now, know that I am healthy, happy and extremely grateful where I am. Travel has been very kind to me.

Tomorrow I am setting off for a 4D3N Santa Cruz hike in the Cordillera Blance (look it up for some jaw-dropping views) so I will be offline for a few days. In the meantime, here’s me and my twin alpaca.
